We wish all our customers a Merry Christmas and peaceful 2016. We thank you for all your custom, support and fabulous painting during 2015 and wish to advise you of our opening hours over the Christmas period:

Monday 21st December CLOSED

Tuesday 22nd December 10.00 - 4.00

Wednesday 23rd December 10.00 - 4.00

Thursday 24th December 10.00 - 1.00

Friday 25th December - Monday 4th January CLOSED

Tuesday 5th January Normal opening hours resume

These lovely vases are now in stock, greatly increasing your choice for a beautiful gift for someone special. We are busy painting samples to give you some inspiration for your own creation.

Kippy's Christmas Tree Decorations Day - 21st November

Now is the time to start creating your special Christmas gifts

Eliza and her Mummy have beaten the rush and got their Christmas sorted! 14 footprint reindeer plates painted with love and care. If you'd like to create a special, personal gift why not pop in and see the wide range of pieces we have. Not just for Christmas, pottery can be painted in endless themes and designs which mean the new owners can display and use them all year round.

Butterflies and Snowmen!

The snowmen are here... and they brought some friends!

We have started to display our Christmas bisque shapes for you to decorate and also lots of painted samples to hopefully inspire you. We do still have lots of lovely pieces to come, but to ease everyone in gently we thought we'd introduce them a few at a time!

We are currently visiting a group of year 8 girls at High worth Grammar School for weekly pottery painting enrichment sessions. Here are their first pieces, butterfly garden stakes. Looking lovely don't you think? If you'd like us to visit your school, community group or youth group give us call and we can discuss options and prices with you.

Back to school... And here comes Christmas!

AFTER SCHOOL SPECIALS!

Starting next week at Kippy's, we will be offering selected projects for just £5 each. Treat the kids to some creative after school fun. Available from 3pm Tuesday-Friday. There will be Foam Clay, Decopatch, acrylic painting and paint/fire pieces available. 

And don't forget parking is free in the Council's Edinburgh Road car park after 3pm too (that's the multi storey above Wilko) Booking not required, open to all ages.

Adult evening painting and Christmas launch

Our next adult painting evening will be on Friday 25th September from 7pm. Booking is required. This will also be your first opportunity this year to see lots of Christmas pottery pieces! We will have Decopatch takeaway kits on special offer, including Halloween pumpkins, snowmen and our deer/stag trophy. You are welcome to bring nibbles and drinks, including alcoholic! You can book either by going to our Facebook page and 'joining' the event, in person in the shop or by phone 01233 631388.

Adult evenings at Kippy's in August!

The following dates have been arranged you to come in and relax, meet friends, have a drink and nibbles (bring your own!) and paint some pottery.

Saturday 15th August
Tuesday 18th August

Both evenings start at 7pm. Booking is required. A £10 deposit is required when you book, this will be taken off the cost of the pottery you choose on the night.This payment can be made in the shop or over the phone with a credit/debit card. We hope to have our new Glitter Glazes for you to try but we're in the hands of the Italian suppliers and UK distributors so keep your fingers crossed!
Please note, if there is not sufficient interest in either or both dates we will cancel the evening and any payments made will be refunded.

I've counted the pennies, and the pounds...

And I'm pleased to announce we raised £128.82 during our pottery fundraising evening on Saturday 4th July for Macmillan Cancer Support. Well done everyone!

The next adult painting evening will be towards the end of August - date to be arranged, we are waiting for some new GLITTERY glazes to become available - we are told they are on their way from Italy, and will launch them on a special Glitter Evening!

There's still tine to paint a gift for your teacher, we have apple dishes, vases, ever popular mugs, photo frames, best teacher tiles and all sorts of animals to match class names. Remember we need a week to get your pottery glazed and fired, so don't leave it too late.

Last week we wished a Happy Birthday to twins Jack and Ellie, they came along with their friends and enjoyed a Tile Party. These are their lovely creations, before firing.


This week we are looking forward to welcoming 1st Bybrook brownies who will be creating clay fairy doors. We also finish this term's Enrichment visits to Highworth Grammar School and will be wishing Michele good luck as she joins the Race for Life event 'Maidstone Pretty Muddy 5k' this Saturday when she will be tackling a five kilometre mud obstacle course all for a great charity - Cancer Research.
